The 2019 Malbec Gran X from the Uco Valley was aged for 12 months in a fifth new French barrels. A dark purple in the glass. The nose offers notes of violet and mild plum with hints of lavender, oak and a balsamic whiff of cedar. Juicy with refined, well-defined tannins, the flow is nimble and athletic in the mouth with nuanced flavour and precise, balanced freshness. 93 points
