The 2018 Family Vineyards Pinot Noir is matured for 11 months in 228-liter barrels. It has a well defined bouquet of red cherry and crushed strawberry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red berry fruit, fine acidity and a gentle, caressing finish that is very sensual. Recommended. 91 points

Family Vineyards is a seamless assemblage of four parcels - Sandford, Mrs M, Windansea and Seadragon - and is the "archetype of our farm", according to Nadia Newton Johnson. Wonderfully sweet and refreshing, it`s an acidity-led cuvée in 2019, with remarkable vibrancy and focus, fine-grained tannins and top notes of rose petal and fresh lily. The 20% whole bunches add some tobacco and fresh earth notes. 96 points
