From Burgundy to Provence. In 1989 two eminent Burgundians, Jacques Seysses and Aubert de Villaine, went in search of new vineyards. That search brought them to Provence, where they were convinced the potential is huge. `Simple winemaking without cosmetics` is the philosophy behind Triennes, the domaine they founded there. Based on Cinsault, as is most Provence rose, this charming, fresh rose also incorporates some Grenache and Syrah. There`s a slight saline tang behind the fruit that reminds you Provence is never very far from the sea. (NT 20/08/81)
