Hmmm, slightly odd Greek wine from the side of a volcano on Santorini. Why would I buy this? Because it is fabulous, like really good Burgundy - think Chablis with attitude. When I first drank this, I knew we had to have it here. Super-fresh, the Assyrtiko grape pumps out mouthfilling energy and the wild yeast help transmit the dramatic terroir into the glass. Very versatile with food, it goes well with everything from oysters to cheese and is a spectacular find. (CW 02/03/16)
