Bakewell tart, cherry pie and a hint of maraschino on the aromas, with some leafy forest-floor complexity just starting to creep in. The palate is savoury, slightly smoky, still very fresh with ripe tannin to round it out. This is really stunning value, and has benefitted enormously from the extra bottle-age! (JH 09/09/22)
