The 2014 Lynch-Moussas has open-knit red fruit on the nose: red cherries, raspberry and wild strawberry all tinged with vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied with a little sharpness on the entry, very traditional in style with an austere pencil-lead finish that at least contains decent freshness. This is a fine Lynch-Moussas that needs age. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. 91 points
