Neal Martin
The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges 1er Cru offers satisfying levels of red and black fruit on the nose, and quite seamless thanks to the oak being neatly entwined. Undergrowth scents gradually emerge with time. The palate is marked by ripe tannin, quite crisp and backward, yet it displays the pedigree noted on previous bottles. Tasted at the Gouges retrospective at La Cabotte. 91 points
