This comes from a producer specialising in great value wines grown up on the slopes overlooking the Rhine. Gewurztraminer is an aromatic grape with deeply coloured skins when fully ripe. This is late picked after a long, slow growing season and fermented out to dryness. Not heavy, it works well with strong cheese, much Chinese food, especially Szechuan and smoked fish and meat.
