The 2010 Rosso di Montalcino Sorgente is a fabulous example of the vintage. Juicy dark cherries, tobacco, mint and violets mesh together in a wine of nearly indescribable elegance. Mid-weight, gracious yet wonderfully resonant, the Rosso impresses for its exceptional balance and class. I especially like the way the 2010 finishes with such substantial energy and vibrant. The 2010 shuts down quickly in the glass, but if you can catch the magic now, you won`t be sorry. This is a great introduction to the wines of the estate. In a word: fabulous. 93 points
