Made by combining several lots from vineyards on the western border of the Sonoma coast AVA, this is not perhaps what you are expecting in a Californian Chardonnay. It is rather mineral, with flinty, smokey notes, diamond brilliant acidity that leads to a mineral and earthy lengthy finish. No tropical fruit here, campers, this is terroir wine to its heart of stone. Stunning. (CW 09/07/12)

Jancis Robinson MW
Nervy and much leaner than their old style. Definitely made to last! 17 points
