Benoit remarked that this vineyard is always the earliest to be ready to drink. 30% new oak. This site always seems to suffer from millerandage, which results in tiny grapes, so they always pck here on the first day. There are two blocks of 35yo and 60 year old vines respectively.
More open than the previous wines, rounded, palate saturating greengage fruit, still mineral but generous and mouthcoating. (CW 04/11/10)

Antonio Galloni
The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Chenevottes is another of the bigger, more powerful wines here. This, too, is attractive, if slightly less polished than the best wines. The virile finish is decidedly weighty. Chenevottes is usually the first vineyard to be harvested at the domaine. Today, it looks like 2009 was not the easiest of years. Drink 2013+. NR points
