Jancis Robinson MW
Dry cork stuck in the neck. Wine had to be poured through a small hole in it. Looks much more mature than the Warre`s, Quinta da Cavadinha 2004. Shaded ruby rim. Attractively evolved nose and nicely rounded tannins on the palate. Big and sweet with an attractive suggestion of coffee grounds (I do mean the taste not the texture). Appetising. Round and absolutely ready to drink. Something of the vintage port experience for those in a hurry. Maybe not the most persistent or concentrated port but very nicely put together. Good value. 16.5 points
