Home courting; home cooking
With restaurants sadly closed, in 2021 we'll be spared the annual evening of dining rooms of couples seething quietly at one another while muzak struggles to fill the gaps. Ooh, cynical you might say, but as I reminded colleagues last week; I'm the most romantic person they know. And there are ways to enjoy a lot of that restaurant experience we so miss with only a small effort on your part. Many are offering an at home service and how much nicer to be able to spend what can be an evening of high expectations in your living room. You can be in your onesie or black tie, but with fantastic food, probably indifferent service - heyho - and obviously top quality wine!
Given I'm in Holloway the obvious choice is Trullo and you have until tomorrow to place your order. But there are plenty of alternatives wherever you are in the country and you'll get more ideas here. This is a safe way to help out by eating in with someone you actually like. Whatever your cuisine of choice, you want delicious and versatile wine. We are happy to recommend matches that will complement your assembly and finishing skills for any restaurant's Valentine's kit.
We are acutely aware many of us will be separated from those we care most for at the moment. If you're unable to share a bottle or deliver in person then allow us to be your gobetween. Messages can be included with any order - order by Thursday lunchtime for Friday delivery. /CW
