Champagne prices: the facts

Maybe some of you assume we're expensive here at Uncorked. After all, we do look smart, we do have a City postcode, and we do stock some very fine wines (alongside some very well chosen wines for everyday drinking). We definitely don't look like some scruffy stack-it-high warehouse operation. And what symbolises luxury, extravagance - even decadence - better than Champagne? We've certainly got plenty of that.

Champagne may be magic, but it's a myth that we're expensive. Precisely because of our location, keen pricing is what we're about: take a look at the tables of Champagne prices below and see how painfully keen our prices are. Feel your eyes water when you look at the mark-ups some of our bigger competitors apply, and ask yourself who the real fat cats of the wine retail world are. Big business likes big margins plus a limited choice. We don't.
