2012 Lynch-Bages, Angludet

19 Apr 2013

Ben Sichel of Chateau AngludetYesterday afternoon saw the release of Lynch-Bages, a perennial favourite in the British market. To exploit the quality of the Merlot the Cazes family have used the highest proportion ever - 26%. Generous and full-bodied for the vintage, with ripe black fruit and notes of bitter chocolate, this is definitely a wine to consider buying en primeur.

This morning, Angludet, always one of our biggest selling wines, whether en primeur or in the shop. The 2012 continues Ben Sichel's run of strong performances. With rich, juicy fruit, ripe tannins and fine balance, it will provide delicious drinking over the next ten years. A Margaux bargain.
