Our excitement over what may well turn out to be Voerzio's finest set of wines to date is sadly tempered by the untimely loss of Roberto's wife. Our condolences go to him and his family, whose joy we were present to witness as the 2007 vintage arrived at the winery. /AR
'This is a stunning set of wines from Roberto Voerzio. I have been following Voerzio's 2007s for several years, and now that they are in bottle they are every bit as magical as I had hoped they would be. Stylistically, the 2007s are most reminiscent of the 2004s, but with more fruit. Although the wines should be cellared for at least a few years, readers who can't resist the urge to taste them now should open their bottles at least a few hours in advance.
