A pre-shipment offer of 2018 Batailley, ex-château

While the UK wine trade is in Burgundy to taste the '24s, the Bordelais have come to London to show their recently bottled 2023s. Frédéric Castéja of Château Batailley is one of many proprietors in town. He called into the shop yesterday to discuss the state of the market and the outlook for next year's (promising) 2025 campaign.

It's been a brutal couple of years for the Bordeaux trade and, like other Bordeaux negociants, Frédéric’s family firm, Borie-Manoux, is keen to make some sales.
