Vieilles Vignes de Gervans
Georges has been a fixture in the Rhone for decades, `le Grec`, bringing vignerons and growers together from his shop in Tain l`Hermitage. His wines are all from carefully-selected parcels of very old vines - in this case, around 60 years old, previously part of the Raymond Roure estate. Very good intensity here, complex raspberry fruit, very fresh and moreish, with a hint of spice on the finish. Nuanced and elegant, and only 12.5%! Fabulous wine. (JH 04/04/24)
