William Kelley
Matured in 20% new oak, the 2021 Dragon de Quintus delivers aromas of sweet berries, cassis, warm spices, raw cocoa and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, lively and succulent, with a pretty core of fruit, powdery tannins and a sapid finish, it shows promise. This derives from Quintus`s holdings at the foot of the slope. 89-91 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2021 Le Dragon de Quintus is sourced from a collection of mid-slope parcels across the chateau`s three main clusters of vineyards. It offers lovely depth and energy throughout. Dark-fleshed fruit, spice, leather and menthol are all laced together. This succulent, stylish Saint-Emilion is all charm. 90-92 points

The 2021 Le Dragon de Quintus has much more to offer than the Troisieme Vin, with baking spices and Provençal herbs infusing the open red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a light-framed but fresh Saint-Emilion, delivering a dab of black pepper on the short finish. Fine. Just give it a year in bottle. 88 points
