After many years of hard graft, courage and considerable risk-taking Lismore Estate and Samantha O'Keefe became an overnight sensation. We've been promoting these pure and vivid wines ever since. They are outliers in South Africa for many reasons, not least the home location in Greyton; an hour's drive from the nearest wine producing neighbours. Samantha's not in fashionable Swartland or Hemel-en-Aarde, where scouts will find the newest producer as soon as they go to view a parcel of land.

Lismore Estate's achievements are based solely on its quality. This is a mantra that has been upheld when sourcing fruit for some of the wines from trusted friends along the coast from Elgin, Walker Bay and Stanford. They carry the Lismore signature precision and freshness.

Tomorrow Samantha O'Keefe will be hosting her first Uncorked tasting at the shop showing not just the wines in the list below, but she's very kindly brought along from the farm some 2011 Syrah and 2014 Chardonnay to show how the wines develop. We still have a small number of places. She only began planting in 2004 but the vines are already producing wines that have super complexity and - again - that purity. As one example, I've tasted loads of South African Viogniers over the years and these are two of the very best; they're exemplars of freshness and the best varietal character.

Come and meet Samantha and taste with her, though if you can't make it we have availability on all the wines below. If you've not tasted Lismore wines before you're in for a treat. /CW
