Includes 5% Corinto. They are a member of the I Vigneri association. Densely planted (9,000/ha) on sandy, volcanic soil at 350 m. Direct pressing of the grapes in a pneumatic press. Must clarification is exclusively done by static decantation at 20 °C. Fermentation in oak barrels, where it stops naturally after many months. Wine is repeatedly decanted to obtain natural clarification and then bottled. RS 130 g/l. Bright orangey gold. Has the sort of intense and inviting aroma that makes me laugh out loud - it suggests such deliciousness. Smells of baked apples stuffed with raisins and apricots reduced down to their essence, with a touch of bitter orange. Thick and viscous in the mouth, packed with flavours that match the aromas and utterly seductively delicious. Very persistent and beautifully balanced. Long honeyed and just-fresh aftertaste. 17 points
