Big-boned for a Barthod. The biggest structure of the visit but plenty of fruit-coating. Mineral and very long. (CW 08/11/17)

The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras 1er Cru offers red berry fruit laced with minerals, fine definition and seamlessly integrated new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, very cohesive with exactly the right amount of grip and weight on the finish. This is a well executed Chambolle-Musigny but I noticed that it dries out in the glass. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting. 90 points
