The 2014 Malagouzia was partly fermented (about one-third) and aged in used French barriques for three months. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol. Rich and fuller in the mouth than I`ve often seen here–it is still a grape and style on the lighter side–this is a very attractive Malagouzia with fine mouthfeel, good integration of its modest oak and the wonderful aromatics for which it is known. It always just plain tastes great, too. As it warms, it loses a bit of persistence on the finish, but early on it has more than enough. Typically, these are best drunk young, even if they can hold a few years. It is remarkably appealing right now. Don`t hesitate to dive in. 90 points
