When you stand on the road that bisects these super steep vineyards, and on a hot day smell the rock and the stones, you have a reference that works briliantly for when you later taste the wine. This is mineral, and has a high-wire balance of acidity and a touch of sweetness that in a few years will seem to have almost disappeared.
