This has turned out to be a lovely vintage for the Morrelino from Alberto. Lots of fine tannin, a touch of minerality and the grace and power of his Sangiovese. Oak aged for elegance and finesse rather than the flavour of the wood, this is a very drinkable wine that will age beautifully if you want. Serve with beef and pork, in fact this has to be a great candidate for the barbecue. On very hot days serve cool. (CW 28/05/12)
