John Livingstone-Learmonth
(228-litre cask, still nearly 3 gm sugar to ferment, malo to be blocked) very full yellow robe; has a broad, buttery-toned bouquet, airs of roasted nuts, white raisin essence. The palate gives immediate richness, is very grounded, holds tannin, very tightly sealed, has a red wine structure, is a keeping wine – forget about it. Late grip-tang comes with a sense of eau de vie, degree – it’s 16°. It’s very wide and persistent. Guillaume is including 10% of 2021 so it has greater finesse – all legitimate. 4.5 stars
