The 2009 Jarrarte Crianza is produced from 35-year-old Tempranillo from the Sonsierra region fermented in stainless steel and aged in used French oak barrels. It has an explosive nose of red fruits, violets, cinnamon and vanilla with a lactic touch. The medium-bodied palate shows good integration of the fruit, acidity and wood, resulting in a balanced but powerful and elegant wine that is also a great expression of young, pure Tempranillo.
