Tuscan Sangiovese - compare and contrast

Today, in honour of what looks sadly like the end of our 2010 Montalcino offering, we present a small range of Sangiovese to taste.

Now the point of 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is that Sangiovese has unequivocally performed brilliantly - subject of course to the vagaries of its custodians.

The examples on show this afternoon have winegrowers in charge who rarely miss the target, and from their different terroirs show some different styles of this often underrated variety.
