Ian d`Agata
Dark ruby. Enticing, deep aromas of blackcurrant, violet and flint. Dense and suave on the palate, with ripe black and red cherry flavors complicated by aromatic herbs, flint and sweet spices. The long finish features noble tannins and a blueberry syrup nuance. This serious and very successful wine will improve with age. Offhand, I can`t remember the last time I liked a young Angludet so much--which, although surprising given the less-than-stellar vintage, suggests that good things are ahead for this estate. Then again, Margaux generally did very well in 2013. 88-90 points
