Puerto Fino is the name given to a Fino sherry which has been matured in the town of Puerto de Santa Maria, one of the three apices of the Sherry Triangle. (The other two are Jerez, from whence Fino, and Sanlucar, which gives us Manzanilla). The yeasty, saline bouquet is full of nettle, chamomile, and cider vinegar - for me it stirs childhood memories of salt-and-vinegar monster munch crisps. It is very much a product of its seaside upbringing; it is saltier than a similar Fino from inland Jerez would be. (NT 08/07/20)

Jancis Robinson MW
5 years old.Extremely pale greenish straw. Amazingly, recalls nothing more than a struck-match white burgundy on the nose. Mmm. There’s even quite a similarity on the palate! Though with the flor/bready overlay. Really fun. Very good acidity and a little bit of astringency. Good Value? 17 points
