The truly captivating 2019 Sauvignon Saurint entices the senses with a spicy bouquet that mixes dried yellow florals, zests of lime and sour green melon, all grounded to the earth by a hint of flowery undergrowth. It’s nearly oily in texture with medium weight, all framed by balanced acids and saturating mineral tones, coming across as almost viscous yet crunchy at the same time. This turns a bit tropical through the finale, staining the palate in notes of papaya, nectarine and sour citrus. The 2019 Saurint could use a few years in the cellar to shake off some of its baby fat, but afterwards should be an epic expression of Sauvignon from Miani. 95 points
