‘Bousselots’ means ‘little bumps’, suggesting an uneven slope; the vineyard sits nicely on the mid-slope, on the clay-rich downwash from the Meuzin Valley. A complex and concentrated wine, with cream and kirsch aromas. In the mouth, it is silky, medium-bodied, full of spicy dark fruit, elegant, serious and still relatively closed. Give me some time, it pleads. (NT 09/01/20)
