Tete de Clos
From the Tete de Clos, i.e. the head of the vineyard, the best slice of Morgeot where there is most limestone and least clay. It makes a very mineral style, flinty and full of herb (fennel, celery) with the fruit line being more austere lemon and lime than anything exotic. A faint whiff of gunpowdery smoke. Weightier in the mouth, with richness finally starting to break through the severe façade towards the finish. Serious and profound, this will age very well. (NT 06/01/20)
