Neal Martin
The 2017 Saint-Aubin Le Charmois 1er Cru matures in 20% new oak, has a slightly more introspective but quite compelling bouquet with dried honey, hazelnut and light oyster shell aromas that just need some coaxing. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh acidity, very harmonious with impressive depth. There is vigour and animation about this Premier Cru with a killer, razor-sharp finish that lingers in the mouth. Magnificent. (DIAM closure) 92-94 points
