Allen Meadows
This is also extremely fresh aromatically with its array of red currant, dark cherry, earth and a suggestion of violet. There is more evident concentration to the somewhat less refined medium weight flavors that culminate in a bitter cherry pit-inflected finish that is more obviously structured. This isn`t as pretty but there`s more here. 88-91 points

80% whole bunch and this really shows on the nose. Soft strawberries alongside the more floral aspect. Seems to have a bit more density than the Chambolle, racy and juicy with a longer finish. 90 points

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, which includes 70% whole clusters, had been sulfured three weeks earlier and just racked. It has a simple, fresh, almost dainty red cherry and strawberry bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins and a slightly earthy finish. Drink over the next four to six years. 92-94 points
