Allen Meadows
In contrast to the expressiveness of the prior two wines this is much more reticent with its brooding nose of plum, dark currant, floral and sauvage hints. There is excellent intensity and underlying tension suffusing the medium-bodied flavors that retain a lovely sense of detail and particularly so on the more complex and longer finish. This offers fine quality for its level and is worth considering. 89-91 points
Jasper Morris
Fine light pink purple. Softer fruit, quite savoury, then cherries, then the wood. A bit light really but attractive nonetheless. Jeremy likes the sucrosity here. 88 points
Neal Martin
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, which includes 70% whole clusters, had been sulfured three weeks earlier and just racked. It has a simple, fresh, almost dainty red cherry and strawberry bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins and a slightly earthy finish. Drink over the next four to six years. 92-94 points
