Opulent! Not what one would expect from the northernmost appellation in Burgundy; savoury red fruit, espresso, dark chocolate, cooked mushroom, forest floor aromas. The palate is strawberry sorbet, black cherry, a hint of maraschino and cocoa, like a dark chocolate sponge. Very full and giving, with almost non-existent tannin - quite American, in many ways, and all the more enjoyable for that! (JH 20/06/22)

Julia Harding MW
Mid bricky red. Seductive mature aromas of dried fruits, a little earthy. Sweetness of senescent fruit, quite mature but just at a lovely point of its evolution. Compact, smooth tannins. Still has lots of freshness, especially on the finish. 16.5 points
