2017 Arlaud Morey-St-Denis Ruchots

This plot is south of Chezeaux, near Clos de Tart. Vines are in excess of 65 years old and Cyprien used around 30% whole bunch. This is a very complete wine, with what I would call Morey spice. It also stands out as the biggest wine of the tasting so far with more matter. There`s a bigger structure and more graphite. These big bones are amply flesh-covered though, still building, very mineral and has a trong finish. Impressive. (CW 8/11/18)

Jasper Morris

Fine full purple, this is beauitfully poised on the palate, absolutely on the cusp, fine thread of acidity, and decent length. When the bouquet fills out and the fruit flavours start to emerge, this will be a lovely wine. 91-94 points
