The 2017 Alberto Oggero Sandro d’Pindeta Rosso has an intense wild strawberry nose as well as a touch of dark fruit. It has a ripe, sweet attack in the mouth and integrated tannins. There`s structure here but not obtrusively and the main impression is of the fruit and the place. There`s a graphite touch but no oak. This is Alberto`s red wine terroir in a bottle. Tiny amount of sulphur used. Long finish, very pure flavours. (CW 21/10/19)
