Victoria
Bounty bars and pine resin, eucalyptus and blackberry compote. It goes on: strawberries and cream, vanilla, white pepper, Szechuan peppercorn, allspice. An unmistakably Australian wine, and to someone such as yours truly who learned about wine in the Oddbins-dominated early 1990s, this is like coming right back home. It`s also a hell of a lot of wine for £25. And if you ever want a red wine that could cope with a curry, this is it; it could easily take on a fiery Vindaloo, a medium Madras, a creamy Korma.
