Bursting with dark fruits such as plum, black cherry and cassis. There’s plenty of rich vanilla aroma and flavour from a mixture of new and secondhand French and American oak. There`s good acidity as well as mouth-coating, slightly grainy tannins. The initial burst of fruit leads on to more complex notes of dark chocolate, espresso, sweet almond and just a tiny hint of mint on the finish. Serve with grilled or roasted meats. (RRS 23/10/20)
