Ian D`Agata

Bright yellow. Clean aromas of lemon, resin, honey and pear. Supple and fruity, offering broad but bright flavors of fresh citrus, apple pie and minerals, along with a chewy saline quality. Fairly large-scale, but stylish and juicy. Finishes nicely sweet but balanced, with very good lift. The wine is a blend of grapes from the Rotenberg that made a wine that Olivier found too sweet (when normally it is the driest of his Pinot Gris wines) and from the Heimbourg (which in 2015 gave a wine that was too dry and hard). The final tally is 10 g/L residual sugar so this will taste off-dry to most people. 90 points
