Rainer Schnaitmann`s Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is still very young and needs a bit of air to show its best. It represents around 3% of the 11,000 case total production and is matured in old oak for complexity and ageability. It is a very special wine with a ripe character of cassis and mango cut with pepper and spice and is miles away from either New Zealand or Bordeaux in style. Serve chilled and though not essential don`t be afraid to decant. (CW 02/07/19)
