This is the biggest cuvee Amelie makes at 1.3 hectares. The vineyard is full of stones eroded from the Combe and has a good mix of over 70 year old and younger vines. Les Crais is very perfumed and has a fine structure and texture with fleshy fruit and a touch of graphite. Delicious. (CW 09/11/16)

Moderate reduction presently dominates the nose. Otherwise there is both good richness and volume to the more substantial and serious medium weight flavors that terminate in a vibrant, mineral-inflected and mildly austere finale that is more well-balanced. 88-90 points

The 2015 Fixin Les Crais was taken from barrel and includes around 25% new oak (one new and three old barrels). It has a crisp, focused and vibrant bouquet with ebullient dark cherries intermingling with blueberry and hints of cassis fruit, maybe a little Marsannay in style. The palate is rounded and generous on the entry. Smooth in texture, it gradually builds towards a very satisfying black cherry and blueberry finish that just glides across the mouth. This will be utterly delicious once in bottle. 90-92 points

Fresh and chock full of flavour and density. Masses of personality. Good Value. 17 points
