The Hemel-en-Aarde valley lies just west of the southern tip of Africa. Heaven on Earth it certainly is and its temperate climate and range of soil and mineral types make it perfect for high quality wine growing. Kevin Grant has turned one of the highest corners of the valley into nirvana for Chardonnay and this rich but refreshing, mineral-inflected wine gives many Burgundies a run for their money.
