Stephen Brook
This grandly-named property was established in the 1950s by the Olivero family. This sturdy Riserva, which is macerated for a month, comes from 1ha of 60-year-old vines on a sandy, south-facing slope. The nose is firm and suffused in red fruits, while the palate is dense and concentrated, showing considerable depth and weight of fruit. The tannins are formidable but not tough, and it has enough acidity to give a fairly long finish. 90 points
