Jancis Robinson
From Douro Superior, Vila Nova de Foz Côa. Touriga Nacional (55%), Touriga Franca (35%), Tinta Roriz (5%) Tinta Barroca (5%). First vintage was 2000. Oldest vineyards of the two Tourigas. Always from same vineyards. Foot trodden but not fermented in lagares. Less new oak and picked a bit earlier. Bottled in August 2016. Very dark and lustrous. Alluring tea-leaf aromas. Very sweet and gorgeous. Very precocious. 17.5 points
