Fournier Longchamps
Fournier-Longchamp are an Anjou-based winery making wines in 5 of the Loire`s plethora of appellations, but they specialise in Chenin Blanc and it is probably their Savennieres bottlings that are the pick of the bunch. These are wines that do not go all the way down the scale of Chenin richness, but rather have purity and zip to complement the honeyed flavours characteristic of Chenin Blanc. The Chamboreau, in fact, could quite possibly pass for white Burgundy in a police taster`s line-up. (NT 15/09/17)
