Brilliantly made, accessible red wine with a red and black berry fruit and tobacco character. This is the second vintage of Dirk Niepoort`s Dao adventure, made with a very local blend of Touriga Nacional (native to the Dao, not the Douro as is widely assumed), Alfrocheiro (another Dao native also spreading around Portugal) and Jaen (Portugal`s name for Spain`s Mencia).
