Deep ruby. Super-ripe aromas and flavors of plum, blueberry nectar, ink, spices and faded flowers. Harmonious acidity helps lift the thick, ripe flavors somewhat on the long, perfumed back end. Those weaned on ultraripe California Cabs will love this; others will find it tough going. I was encouraged by the long, suave, flinty, violet-enhanced finish. 90 points
